Reason for visiting earth:
Sadly Shift’s home ‘Planet Zania’ has been rotting from pollution over the years. Everything on the planet needed fuel to make it work and this built up over time, slowly the planet is dying. There had been stories of a device somewhere in space that needed no fuel, made you move faster than you can run, for longer and further that you can jog with only a fraction of the effort. Shifts mission was to visit Planet Earth in search of such a device, ‘The Bike’. Shift is now fascinated by all bike’s and will spend all day, everyday riding and exploring Planet Earth.

Shift has fantastic strength due to heavy gravity on Planet Zania. Shift is full of energy and speeds around everywhere. Shift is always so excited about going on an adventure and exploring places, this can lead to Shift being a bit clumsy by getting over excited and often needs friendly guidance from Sprocket. To make this job a little easier Sprocket constructed Shifts helmet to not only protect Shifts head but to also communicate to Shift, as it has a built in 'walkie talkie'. Shift always wears his helmet when out cycling and loves customising his helmets with different fabrics and stickers.

Reason for Visiting earth:
Sprocket (originally named B005-4921) was built to help Planet Zanier’s government officials to find new planets to inhabit surrounding Zania, 28 years later Sprocket was put out of service. Fortunately Shifts parents run a robot recycling company on Zania and they were given the B005 Identifier to convert for domestic use. Even after 28 years in service the B005 Identifier was still a very advanced robot and was restored into full working order and Shift named him Sprocket. Shift and Sprocket became great friends over the following years.  They have been on many adventures; the biggest yet is the search for ‘the bike’. Shift and Sprocket worked together searching the universe to find the planet which had this wonderful creation ‘the bike’.

Sprocket is now a dedicated companion of Shift and together they hope to show the universe that bikes are amazing and share their new found enthusiasm with the rest of planet earth. Shift doesn’t understand why all humans don’t ride their bikes everyday.

Sprocket is good with numbers, fixing things and on can fly at speeds close to that of light when in space due to his plasma propulsion rockets. However the B005 Identifier wasn’t constructed to move along the ground so has a bit of a wobble when moving around on planet earth. Sprocket can transform his limbs into useful tools to fix mechanical object and also has a door on his tummy which is loaded with a wealth of devices and gadgets. Inside his internal shell he stores everything from a bike pump to a nuclear oxygenating planetary stabiliser.
