Do you enjoy getting around under your own steam, being with your friends, saving the planet and seeing new places? Why not cycle to school? Look at our tips for inspiration... then take action...
1. Ask if your school has a School Travel Plan... if it hasn't, why not write one?
2. Talk to us about becoming a BikeIt school.
3. Ask at school about cycle training.
4. Work out the best way to get to school on your bike with the Derby Cycle Map or the Journey Planner!
5. Ask for cycle parking at your school- if you have it already, then use it!
6. Check out Bike to School week.
7. Start an after school cycle club, or join your local club- you'll find the details on the club finder.
8. Be safe. Be Seen! Always cycle safely.
9. Ask teachers about getting cycling on the curriculum.
