Does anyone ride recumbents? I'm interested to find out if they really are easy to ride and would welcome feedback from anyone who does!

I have one. I bought it (2nd hand) when I developed golfer's elbow (before you ask, I don't play golf). It made cycling on an upright very uncomfortable, and I was worried that i might have to give up cycling altogether. but of course, on a 'bent, there's no weight on the arms, so it looked like an alternative.

It's a different type of cycling - there are pros and cons. I don't like the lack of visibility at certain junctions, but I do love the attention you get!

If you want to try it out, let me know.

Hi Paul,

Thanks for answering the call! I'm really intrigued to experience it so I can write an article on my blog. I have ridden an Ad Bike (one of those great clumsy things with an A frame behind the bike cockpit) and found that quiet easy to pedal from a recumbent position but I must admit, I wasn't too keen in traffic!

Do you have any photos?? Want to blog about it for me??

Hi CD

It's been off the road for a while (my golfer's elbow calmed down, and I changed the way I do a few things to reduce the liklihood of a flare-up), so would need a bit of a service before use, but that wouldn't be a problem.

No photos, I'm afraid, and I don't blog, but you are welcome to try it out for yourself. Let me know, and we can make arrangements. I'm a bit wary of putting contact details on here, but I can email them to your style@cycledivas address, if you're interested.

Paul.
