Get your bike security marked for free
This Saturday (1st October), between noon and 6pm, Derbyshire Police will be offering a free security marking service at the Market Place in Derby. Your bike can be etched and marked with your address so that, if your bike is stolen and recovered, it can be returned to you.
Bike thefts in Derby have risen to an average of 15 per month so having your bike marked, recording the frame number and using a good quality lock are all worth doing.
