The contra flow cycle lane on Green lane at its junction with Burton Road will be closed for about 8 months to construct a new roundabout as part of Connecting Derby for the new Derby ring road.

Cyclists coming in to the city centre are being  asked to ride down Babington Lane – Gower Street as an alternative route,  the engineers will  be putting up diversion signs. Cyclists going away from the city centre will still be able to use Green Lane.  

Connecting Derby is a Government-funded integrated transport project. It aims to improve transport links in and around the city centre for people who live, work or visit the city.
