Last week Cyclo-Cross enthusiasts from several local clubs met with Mayor Sean Marshall to launch the 2011 British Cycling National Cyclo-Cross Championships.

The launch follows the announcement that Moorways Stadium has been named as the host of the 2011 race which will take place over the weekend of 8 and 9 of January next year.

Spectators at this prestigious event will be able to see senior men, women, veterans and youths battle it out to for the top spot.

Alongside the main event Cycle Derby and local British Cycling Go Rides coaches will be running a series of fun, kids' races at Osmaston Park opposite Moorways.
