Routes

A new downloadable map and leisure route guides are here to view and download. Our new leisure route maps are graded - easy, intermediate and challenging - and work alongside the City Cycle Map. All are FREE.

Easy (Green Guides numbered 1-39) are shorter, easier family routes using off-road paths and quieter roads. Most rides are less then 10 miles.

Intermediate (Orange Guides numbered 40-69) are mid-length to longer routes using some busier routes.

Challenging Routes (Red Guides numbered 70-99) are more complex, longer or hillier rides, featuring both on- and off-road networks including some favorite mountain bike and road riding curcuits.

City Cycle Map. View it here.

This map offers a city wide overview, aiming to show all roads and paths legally available for cyclists to use. National and local cycle route numbers are shown. Routes are shown as on-road or off-road, traffic free routes are also shown, as is Regional Route 66, our 'Orbital'. Bridleways are shown regardless of their suitablity for cycling, so some may be roughly surfaced. On-carriageway cycle lanes and bus lanes permitting cycling are also marked. You'll also find recommneded routes to help you plan your route.
