Plan your route from A to B, take the scenic route or just the quickest way to get where your going.
Bikeability Level 2
Level 2 is all about learning the skills needed to make a journey on quiet roads. Whether it's a trip to school, round to a friend's house or down to the park, Level 2 will give you the ability to ride confidently on the road.
Cycle
The course is delivered by our National Standard qualified cycle trainers and usually takes place at schools during one week for an hour a day. On the first day we do a recap of Level 1 and an introduction to the things children need to be thinking about on the road. The next three sessions take place on quiet roads near the school with children learning which part of the road to ride in; how to pass parked cars; how to do a u-turn; the difference between minor and major roads; how to turn left and right into different kinds of roads. On the final day the children get to put it altogether in a series of more complex manoeuvres and possibly even a ride around the local area!
Once children have completed the course they are presented with an orange Bikeability Level 2 badge and certificate.
