Submission Guidelines
Image Submission
1. Email submission (preferred method) to: cyclederby@derby.gov.uk. Email submission files should be a JPEG format and no larger than 2MB.
2. We may request higher resolution versions for printing purposes.
3. Post CDs/DVDs to :

4. If you decide to post a submission, the 2MB file size limit does not apply.
Model Release
1. All submissions where an identifiable human face is present require the provision of a model release form. There are no exceptions.
2. If the photograph is of a minor (person under the age of 18), the model release form must be downloaded and signed by the parent or legal guardian of the person or persons in the photograph.
3. If the photograph is of the photographer (a self portrait), a model release form is still required.
4. Once the model release form has been downloaded and signed, the original copy must be posted to the above address accompanied by either a print out of the corresponding photograph or a CD postal submission.
5. A model release must be provided for every individual submission.
Rules
1. You must be the copyright owner, and the image must be yours.
2. Do not submit;
- anything that you do not own the copyright to
- a photo taken by someone else
- images that have been found on the web, in a book or magazine.
3. The image must feature an aspect of cycling and must be based on one of the themes stated.
4. Photos must contain some image of a bike
5. Prizes – Once you have entered the competition your image will be put forward to a panel of judges. Winners will be announced in November 2008
6. There are three age-based entry categories; Under 11, 11-18 years and over 18’s. Entries will only be considered for award of prizes when identified with an entry category and a theme. Entries will be accepted without this information and may be used to promote cycling.
7. Once submitted and accepted your image will be added to our catalogue. Each and every time the image is used you will be notified and credited. Your images will be used to promote cycling. The images will only be used by agreement by Derby City Council and supporting agencies to promote cycling. We do not own the copyright. You retain the copyright and you have the right to withdraw your image at any time.
8. Withdrawing your image. Your image will be kept in our catalogue and promoted until you choose to remove it. You can require that your image is removed from the catalogue in writing at anytime. Once we receive a request for image removal we will remove your image from our catalogue and inform supporting agencies to cease using your image with in 60 days. After this period has passed, we will notify you to confirm your image has been removed from the catalogue and that any usage of the image has ceased.
