Community Cycle Coach

The Community Cycle Coach is the first post of its' kind in the country.

The role is part-funded by Sport England. The Sport England Community Sports Coach scheme aims to increase the number of coaches delivering activities in the community and also offers the opportunity for people to develop as professional coaches.

The Community Cycle Coach role is to work at the Go Ride after-school clubs but also deliver sessions within the community and develop pathways to voluntary organisations and groups.

Due to the additional demands placed on the CSC, a number of other casual cycle coaches have been trained to lead other sessions. Qualified to British Cycling level one or two, it is perceived these coaches shall support additional after-school clubs, Planning Preparation and Assessment activities and holiday schemes.
