Balance

Our journey starts with Balance - For Nursery, Reception or Year 1, this is our introduction to two wheels. A 50 minute session is enough to achieve 60% of the group riding unaided!

Balance Bike Scooting

Learn To Ride

Following Balance and usually delivered during school holidays, we offer 50 minute 1-2-1 sessions to teach kids to ride unaided and be more confident on their bikes - check out our holiday programme for details.

Hi just wanted to say how brilliant the learn to ride session was at Markeaton last week. The guys who helped my daughter were fab and in 5 days she's gone from only ever having sat on a bike twice (and peddling backwards!) to being able to confidently ride a bike without any help or stabilisers. We'll definitely be booking for our younger children when they're old enough. Thanks again Claire.

I just wanted to take the time to thank your team for the great training given at Silverhill this year. Gregor has come home with a renewed vigour about cycling and has enthused both our house and his mum’s house to get back out on bikes to do some family cycling!

Fantastic training - Sally

I just wanted to pass on my thanks for the fantastic training you gave my son on a recent cycle training course for Year 6's at Breadsall CE Primary school. As well as thoroughly enjoying the week, his cycling skills and confidence have improved tremendously. He now rides a sensible distance away from the kerb and uses his 'observation skills' . His road sense has improved significantly not only when riding a bike, but is also obvious when he is a car passenger by the comments he makes about other road users. Many of the other Year 6 parents have mentioned what a good course they thought it was. You've obviously inspired several of his school friends who have recently started to cycle to and from school. Can you please pass on my thanks to all at Cycle Derby.
