Cycle Derby now have a fleet of 8 brand new e-Cargo bikes, for use in and around Derby by local businesses! Read on to discover how our fleet might be utilised to help your business operate more sustainably....
eCargo bikes join our fleet!
This summer, we successfully secured funding from the Energy Saving Trust to buy 8 brand new electric cargo bikes!
3 bikes will be shared by ourselves and some of our partners to help us facilitate the wonderful work we do across the county.
For Cycle Derby we will use the bikes to support delivery of our fleet of balance and learn to ride bikes to schools.
For Bike Back Derby, they will help collect donated bikes and transport their Dr Bike kit when running their free cycle repair events.
Sustrans will use them to help facilitate their job seeker role, bringing sustainable travel to those unemployed or just starting back in work.
This leaves 5 available to hire by local businesses looking to try out a sustainable alternative to local deliveries by car or van.

Combining the agility of an electric bike with a significant load capacity, these top of the range cargo bikes from Urban Arrow will soon be available to loan to businesses, helping to encourage and enable greener delivery practices.
